Why are you passionate about working in the mental health field?

I am passionate about the mental health field because I believe that mental health is such an important aspect of overall well-being. Our mental health affects every aspect of our lives, from our relationships and work performance to our physical health and ability to cope with situations and stress. I am also a big believer in advocating for your mental health, while decreasing the stigma surrounding mental health and encouraging people to seek help when they need it.

What's something you wish people knew about therapy or the therapy process?

Therapy is a journey of self-discovery and growth that requires commitment, vulnerability, and patience. It is a process that can be challenging at times, but ultimately leads to healing and transformation. Also, therapy does not always need to be sought out when something is happening in your life, it should be a safe space to go and maintain a healthy mind, lifestyle and relationships.

Besides working at Embodied Wellness, what do you enjoy doing in your spare time?

In my spare time, I enjoy going to the gym and doing pilates & cardio, spending time with my daughters, staying active and coloring in adult coloring books. I also love getting a good cup of iced coffee and taking a long walk to explore and enjoy the outdoors.

What is your favorite book, podcast or mental health resource?

My favorite podcasts are: After bedtime with big little feelings & We can do hard things.
