You might feel caught between worlds—tired of explaining yourself, of fragmenting who you are to make others comfortable. I work with young adults, children of immigrants, and people navigating identity. My clients often feel the weight of being a "model minority", and the loneliness of living between cultures in a place that often erases and devalues BIPOC identity. They might deal with anxiety, depression, PTSD, or relationship/familial/community challenges rooted in these complex intersections. I offer a space built on shared understanding, where no part of your identity feels like a contradiction.
I provide therapy through an intersectional feminist lens, first building a trusting relationship with clients to create a solid foundation for the deeper work. At times I use art as a jumping-off point for conversation. I was raised in Arab Muslim community, and use this experience to create space where context is understood without exhausting explanations.
It takes courage to seek a witness to your story. I believe healing happens in relationship, and you already hold the answers you need. If you're looking for a therapist who honors all parts of your identity while helping you slow down and reconnect with your inner wisdom, I would be happy to work with you.

Get to Know Maleeha:
Who is your ideal client?
Anyone who is willing to look at themselves. It is not as simple as it sounds and I have tremendous respect for the courage it takes to do so.
What's something you wish people knew about therapy or the therapy process?
What works for one person may not work for another, and may in fact be harmful. It's not one size fits all, there are as many ways to do therapy as there are people on this planet. Together, we can build a therapy that works for you.
Why do you like being a therapist?
Because I like people! The more I learn about them the more I like them.
Besides being a therapist, what do you enjoy in your spare time?
Befriending and tending to cats, plants, and all manner of creatures, working with my hands, ascending the stair mill until I reach the pinnacle of gym existence and then rewarding myself with a hydromassage while I color on my phone.
What is your favorite book, podcast or mental health resource?
I love Midnight Burger, it's an audiodrama with themes of found family, existential purpose, and the comfort of human connection across the cosmos. I also love Tim Robinson's comedy, and think it's a brilliant, hilarious and very cringeworthy exploration of social anxiety.
